TIM RICE
HS HEAD COACH
Coach Rice is a 2001 graduate of Ephrata where he won 101 matches for the Mountaineers. Coach Rice is a former head coach for Manheim Township where he coached the Blue Streaks to a LL League team championship, two PIAA state duals appearances, and coached multiple individual state medalists, including a state finalist. Most recently, he has volunteered time to coaching our elementary program. Tim’s coaching philosophy is deeply rooted in focusing on effort, progress over perfection, and being process oriented.
NICK ROCK
HS ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Rock is a 2002 graduate of Ephrata where he competed for the Mountaineers. While at Ephrata, Coach Rock won 123 matches, which is still the most in our school’s history. Coach Rock was also a 3x PIAA AAA State Qualifier. After competing for the Mounts, he went on to wrestle at Division I East Stroudsburg University. Coach Rock is also a proud member of the Ephrata Area School District Athletic Hall of Fame. Coach Rock is now entering his 14th year coaching. He currently resides in Lancaster with his wife Katelin, his two boys, and their dog.
GREG LARSON
JR HIGH HEAD COACH
Coach Larson is a 1998 graduate of Ephrata where he competed for the Mountaineers. Coach Larson is entering his 20th year coaching, most of which have been at Ephrata’s Jr. High level. In addition to his coaching career, he proudly served our country for 8 years in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. As a coach, he is focused on developing state-caliber wrestlers through teaching & developing excellence in academics, morality, and work ethic.
AUSTIN JONES
JR HIGH ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Jones is a 2017 graduate of Ephrata where he won 106 matches for the Mountaineers. After competing for Ephrata, Coach Jones went on to wrestle at Elizabethtown College where he was a 2x Scholar All-American and All-Region wrestler. This will be his 6th year coaching and 5th year coaching at Ephrata’s Jr High level. Prior to coaching at Ephrata, Coach Jones was the Assistant Coach at Elizabethtown High School where he helped coach the Bears to their first Section title in 10 years and received the L-L League Section 2 Assistant Coach of the Year.
